Marriage is a life-long journey that thrives on love, trust, commitment, and respect. NRI marriages or should I say mirages. People in India think very much of NRI marriages whereas the reality is the opposite of it. The sudden increase in the number of NRI marriages fraud has been a big concern. If we talk about the ratio of people happy in NRI marriages is only 1:3 which is a much smaller value. The key issues and challenges faced by people trapped include their lack of awareness and knowledge. Marital affairs are also very common in NRI marriages. Be it a man or a woman he/she is an alien in a foreign land they don't know anyone there.

They are miles away from their families and friends they have nobody they can go to when they are in need. They aren't even much aware of the laws of those countries and become isolated. Where the ratio of men to women being the prey in these NRI marriages is one-third but they do fall into the trap. Some women divorce them after marrying them for the alumni. The problems faced are tricking them into marriage and giving fake details. A beaten, abused, mentally tortured, malnourished, detained, and ill-treated woman. A woman was abandoned by her NRI husband right before he takes her to the foreign country where he lives.

A hasty marriage, complete with a lavish wedding, a large dowry, and a honeymoon. After all the NRI husband departs India, while the wife awaits her visa. A woman who flew a thousand miles wanting to meet him only to discover that he would not be arriving at all.

One must keep a few things in mind before taking such big decisions. Checking the background of such families and if they notice anything mysterious they must take immediate action. The most important part of such marriages is to get the marriage registered within 30 days. In such cases trusting the authority is required. Taking charge of your hand and doing physical damage is never a solution. Instead of suffering later, one must cross-verify and do all the needed. Several laws have been also made in each country to avoid such fraud and to help the victim.
