Curriculum activity 2- Nutrition in a plate (In-house Activity)

Aim of the Activity: This activity aims at making the students aware about importance of healthy diet, generating interest in the food habits of their family members. What is a balanced diet? • A diet that contains all the nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, roughage etc. in the right amount. What is the importance of working out? • Physical and mental development. • Health status of the family as well as the society. • Increases longevity Types of nutrients and the amounts needed for healthy lifestyle. Sub-Activity 1: The students grade 5 and 6 had a talk with the nutritionist to make children aware about the various kinds of nutrients and their amount needed for healthy life style.
